Kraus Gaucho - Smokeless Yerba Mate with Powerful Flavours

Kraus Gaucho is produced via a unique smoke-free drying process with indirect heating, where the heat is generated by a boiler. This creates a pure aroma and a powerful taste, without the smoky notes of traditional drying.

Kraus works in full organic and encourages biodiversity through natural processes such as pest control and nutrient cycling. The family business follows the Fair trade principles: no child labour, safe working conditions, equal opportunities, fair wages as well as profit sharing for workers.

Since the early 20th century, Kraus has been producing yerba mate in Colonia Santo Domingo Savio, San Ignacio (Misiones, Argentina), near the historic San Ignacio Miní, one of the most important Jesuit missions.

What a fine website and shop! Here, it's all about the diversity and quality of the product. When I see those other slickers with their Yerba Matte shops, one thing becomes clear to me: They re-package and bulk Matte and put 'fancy' packaging around it to scam the yuppie crowd. I will keep buying here! Keep up the good work, guy's!

One of the few online shops where if you order something it will actually be delivered. On top of that, the service is good. I ordered a bombilla, a gourd and yerba mate from Cruz de Malta.... Cruz de malta was the recommendation of an Argentinian friend.... delivery of the order went smoothly and was sent to a PostNL collection point at my request. The items were neatly packed and what's nice there was also an explanation included on how to prepare the gourd for the first use. Great webshop!!!
